Our Client’s Situation
The Clothing Bank (TCB) works to empower and upskill unemployed mothers through their holistic Enterprise Development Programme. TCB secured funding from the Jobs Fund to further expand their footprint and reach in urban centres in Johannesburg, Durban and East London. As part of its commitment to the Jobs Fund, TCB sought the assistance of GreaterImpact to conduct a mid-term review of their progress to date and gain insights into potential refinements to further enhance their programme for maximum impact.
GreaterImpact carried out a mid-term review of TCB’s programmes under the Jobs Fund contract. The review included analysis of monitoring and tracking results to date, measurement systems and processes, programme design and TCB client experiences through a combination of desk review, semi-structured interviews and focus group discussions.
A common challenge faced by practitioners working with lower income client segments, is sustained engagement and contact post-intervention. As a result of GI’s insights, TCB developed a strategy to incentivise their clients to remain in contact, positioning them to better understand the sustainability of their impact into the future.
